in Urbana on September 17th GHR (2-2) took home third place with
Murphy's (1-2) finishing in fourth place at this state tournament.
Wireless Mike's received a first round bye before playing Murphy's
in their opening game and defeating them 11-5. Murphy's made it
to this game by posting an 8-1 win over GHR in their opener of this
tournament.
Now playing in the undefeated game of the tournament it was Wireless
Mike's and Double Trouble going toe to toe for the first of three
meetings on this day with Wireless Mikes getting the early advantage
with a 11-9 win to assure them of a spot in the tournament's championship
game against whichever team that wins the loser's bracket to earn
the right to challenge them for the tournament title.
As Wireless Mike's sat and watched the loser's bracket was played
out to its conclusion and when it was over a rematch with Double
Trouble awaited them in the championship game.
In a interesting game Double Trouble turned the tables on Wireless
Mike's and handed them a two run loss by a final score of 14-12
to force the need to have the 'if necessary game played between
these two ball clubs in order to be able to determine which of them
would be the 2005 ISA Co-Ed State Champions.
In the deciding game it was Wireless Mike's making the plays that
they needed in order to win and posting a 19-17 win onto the bracket
board in the decisive game of the tournament.

between the tournaments last two remaining unbeaten teams dropping
them, into the loser's bracket where they needed to win three straight
games back to back to back in order to become the ISA 2005 Co-Ed
State Champions.
Double Trouble went to work at accomplishing this with a 19-12 win
over GHR to win the loser's bracket and earn a second shot at unbeaten
Wireless Mike's in the tournaments championship game.

they handed the previously unbeaten ball club a 14-12 loss to even
the tournament at one loss each and with that victory forced the
need to have the 'if necessary game' played between these two ball
clubs in order to determine which of them would be the 2005 ISA
Co-Ed state champion.

as they were forced to accept second place from this tournament.
