reported) to win the winner's bracket and assure them of a spot
in the championship game against whichever team that would win the
loser's bracket to earn the right to oppose them in the title game.
Now St Clair A's had to sit and wait as the loser's bracket was
played out to its conclusion before knowing which of the remaining
teams would web their challenger in the title game. When the dust
from the loser's bracket settled back down onto the field of play
a rematch with Brewzkeez was on tap for the St Clair A's in the
title game.
The Brewzkeez came into the title game looking for a little pay
back and got that by defeating the Sty Clair A's (no score was reported)
to even the tournament at one loss each and forcing the need to
play the 'if necessary game' between these two ball clubs in order
to determine which of them would be the 2006 Gumby Open ' champion.
The St Clair A's turned out to be that team as they won the extra
game over Brewzkeez 232-21 to win the top cash prize from this event.

On Sunday morning the Brewzkeez ball club started their day off
by stubbing their toe as they lost to the St Clair A's (no score
was reported) to send them into the loser's bracket. Brewzkeez needed
to play a second game against Reid Builders / Silkworm in order
to earn a second shot at the St Clair A's and they did so winning
30-25 to qualify as the challenger in the championship round of
the 29006 Gumby Open tournament.
Brewzkeez kept up their wining ways as they defeated the St Clair
A's (no score was reported). Now both teams had one loss each and
