and Dave Phillip had 4 hits each in the opening loss. Kurt Head,
who pitched so well in the Elite C state went out for the weekend
with what may be a broken hand after taking a hard ground ball of
the hand.

as a team running of six consecutive wins starting with a 27-8 victory
of Players from Canton to complete play on Saturday for Souse's
Lounge/Roger Drywall. Adams and R. Nunez had five hits each while
Dave Phillip (HR) Bill Messenger (HR) and Brad Ferger all had four

an excellent game allowing the Minnesota ball club to six first
inning runs and than only allowing two more runs over the rest of
the game.
CR's/J & H Wall from Minnesota was the next team in line as
Souse's Lounge/Roger Drywall continued their winning ways posting
an 16-14 victory up onto the bracket board to continue their advancement
through the loser's bracket. Hancock was on the mound for this win
and contributed two hits (HR). Messenger (HR) Adams, Ferger, Rob
Nunez all had three hits each for the Rockford ball club during
this win.

Nunez (HR), Rob Nunez, and Messenger all had three hits each. Manager
Steve Hardy said "We had just enough hitting to move on."
Next Souse's Lounge/Roger Drywall and Kevitt/Fieldhouse/Easton tangled
and again it was the Rockford based ball club that came out on top
in this game winning 27-14 to send this Minnesota team to the parking
lot to pack their cars for the trip back home after being beaten.
