The Silent Miracle of Chiropractic and the Legacy of Jeremy Francis

There are two types of miracles in Chiropractic, loud miracles and silent miracles.
Loud miracles are the ones that we all hear about. These are the ones that occur when a sick and suffering patient receives a Chiropractic adjustment allowing the Innate healing power to go to work, achieving results instantaneously.
We all have these miracles in our Chiropractic offices every day. The crippled man with acute pain gets an adjustment and the next day he is on the golf course shooting the best round of his life. We all know a woman who couldn't get pregnant for years and within a month of receiving Chiropractic care she is expecting a baby. We've all adjusted an asthmatic child who threw his inhaler away after just a few weeks of Chiropractic care. The baby with colic, the child with ear infections, the bedwetting child, the ADD child and the arthritic old women who miraculously heal when they are adjusted are all loud miracles of Chiropractic. Many Chiropractic practices throughout the world have been built upon these miracles, enhancing the lives of the people they touch.
These are loud miracles because you and I talk about them all the time. We share these stories with our patients and with our community because we want people to know that the power that made the body heals the body. We want people to know that health comes from within and that they don't need drugs or surgery to survive in the world. They don't need to suffer. People deserve to be healthy.
Loud miracles make very powerful stories to share with the world because people can relate to other people's suffering. They can empathize with their results and the life changing effects they experience.
While these loud miracles are exciting, they pale in comparison to the silent miracles of Chiropractic. The silent miracles are the ones that you and I never hear about because there is no story.
These are the cancers that never develop, the immune systems that stay healthy, and the constant expression of human potential that is achieved by people who receive ongoing Chiropractic Wellness Care. These silent miracles are achieved when human beings have the opportunity to live at 100% of their genetic potential every second of their lives through Chiropractic.
Did you ever notice how your patients who are participating in Chiropractic Wellness Care, even if they get the big idea, will occasionally go for periods of time when they miss getting adjusted? In almost every case, they are reminded to come back because they are symptomatic again. They are reminded to get adjusted because they need another loud miracle in order to appreciate the silence once again.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could measure the silent miracles while they were happening? What would it be like if we could fully appreciate the silent miracles and their effect on our patients' quality of life? How would our world be different if our society became committed to creating silent miracles all the time, and gave up our addiction to the quick fix?
To appreciate the power of the silent miracle of Chiropractic, I want to share with you The Legacy of Jeremy Francis.
I began adjusting Jeremy just a few days after he was born and had the wonderful opportunity to give him and his family Chiropractic Wellness Care almost every week.
Ellen and Eddie, Jeremy's committed and loving parents were loud miracles of Chiropractic. Ellen, at age 40, ran a marathon within 6 months of his delivery. Eddie got tremendous relief from his chronic back condition.
Benjamin and Emily, Jeremy's older siblings, were loud miracles because after beginning Chiropractic Wellness Care, they became healthier than they had ever been in their lives. They no longer took antibiotics, aspirin, or Tylenol, and they no longer got sick.
Ellen and Eddie became committed Chiropractic advocates as they shared their loud miracles with people all over the country. They told their family, their friends, their running partners, and even their pediatrician about the difference Chiropractic made in their lives. They talked about Chiropractic because they knew it would make a difference. They fully enjoyed and appreciated their loud miracles.
