One Day, Nine Team Event At Males

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS: Precision
went undefeated winning the ISA Men's Class C/D Equalizer at Melas
Fields in Arlington Heights as they [posted a perfect 4-0 record
on July 28th. Tirabassi (4-2) finished in second place with Chicago
Steel (4-2) taking home third place and Trainwreck (2-2) finishing
in fourth place.
Precision opened play in this nine team, one-day tournament with
a first round game against Sage and promptly posted a 20-9 win onto
the bracket board to advance in the bracket.
Precision next met up with the Brew Dogs as they continued their
hot hitting winning 23-15 to advance into the winner's bracket championship
game. The Brew Dogs had stopped Piehouse in the first round by a
final score of 14-9 to advance into this second round match-up with
Precision.
In the game that featured the last two remaining unbeaten teams
left in this tournament Precision and Tirabassi locked horns for
the fist time on this Saturday with Precision gaining the upper
hand with a 9-7 win to become the only unbeaten team left in this
tournament. This win also assured Precision of a spot in the tournament's
championship game against which ever team that would emerge from
the loser's bracket to challenge them in the title contest.
Precision now had to sit back and watch as they loser's bracket
was played out to it conclusion before finding out that a rematch
of the winner's undefeated game with Tirabassi was on tap for them
in the title game.
Precision came out hitting the ball in the title game and kept on
hitting the ball as they piled up twenty five runs to win 25-15
over Tirabassi to claim the title to this tournament.
Tournament runner-up Tirabassi opened play with a play in game to
get into the bracket and in this extra game Tirabassi met and defeated
Chicago Steel in a close game 18-17 to advance into the regular
bracket.
In their first round game Tirabassi defeated Trainwreck 17-7 to
move into the semifinal of the winner's bracket.
In a semifinal game it was Tirabassi defeating OCS 18-5 to earn
Tirabassi a spot in the winner's bracket finals. OCS made it to
this game against Tirabassi by defeating Squeeze 23-14 in the first
round of tournament play.
In the battle between the tournaments last two unbeaten teams Tirabassi
stubbed their toe losing to Precision 9-7 to drop them into the
loser's bracket.
Tirabassi now need to win a game to earn a second chance at playing
Precision in the championship game and they would need to defeat
Chicago Steel for the second time on this Saturday to accomplish
that. Tirabassi came out on fire scoring twenty-four runs ads they
sent Chicago Steel home with third place after beating them 24-13
to earn a second chance at playing unbeaten Precision in the tournaments
championship game.
It was Precision that was the hot hitting team in the championship
game as Tirabassi fell to them 25-15 to finish in second place at
this tournament.
