Six Team Participate In One Event In Arlington Heights On April 1st

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS: Player's Inc. went a perfect 3-0 to capture the Miken / IAS Men's Class C N.I.T. played at Melas Fields in Arlington Heights On Saturday April 21st over a field of six teams. The champions will be playing at the 2007 ISA Men's Class C World Tournament to be held at Polk County, Florida on September 29th & 30th. Creative Design (3-2) finished in second place with Pole Katz / Fokus (2-2) taking home third place and Trainwreck (2-2) finishing in fourth place at this tournament.
Player's, Inc. started their day off with a first round bye before edging Trainwreck in a semifinal game of the winner's bracket 9-8 to advance into the tournament's undefeated game.
Player's Inc. won the winner's bracket when they beat (no score was reported) Creative Design t become the only unbeaten team left in this tournament. Now Player's, Inc had to sit and wait until the loser's bracket was complete before knowing which of the remaining teams would emerge to be their challenger in the championship game. After the dust settled back down on the field of play a rematch from the winner's bracket undefeated game with Creative Design awaited Player's Inc. in the tournament's championship game.
Player's Inc complete their undefeated run to the title of this event by sending Creative Design home with second place by beating them for a second time on this Saturday afternoon (no final game score was reported).
Tournament runner-up Creative Design opened play with a first round 15-5 win over St. George's Softball Club to advance into the second round of play in the winner's bracket. Now playing in a semifinal contest of the winner's bracket Creative Design met and defeated Pole Katz / Fokus 20-4 to earn the right to play in the tournament's undefeated game against Player's, Inc.
Creative Design came out on the short end of the score in the winner's bracket championship game as they lost to Player's Inc (no final game score was reported) dropping them into the loser's bracket where they met Pole Katz / Focus for the second time on this Saturday. Creative Design sent Pole Katz / Focus to the parking lot with third place and earned a second shot at unbeaten Player's Inc by posting another win (no final game score was reported) onto the bracket board.
This was a close as Creative Design would get this day as Player's Inc came out and won the first championship game to complete their undefeated run to the title earning them a berth to play at the 2007 ISA Men's Class C World Tournament as Creative Design was forced to accept second place from this tournament.
