Four Game Guarantee, On April 30th & May 1st With A Cash Payout

Illinois Softball Report is pleased to announce that they will be Co-hosting the 'Annual Spring Tune-up' sixteen inch softball tournament with the Naperville Park District on April 30th & May 1st at Frontier Park in Naperville.

This will be a twenty four team, 'NO GLOVE', cash tournament, with a four game guarantee using ASA rules and umpires. The teams will divided into six pools of four teams each. On Saturday each of the six pools will play a round robin (three games) with Sunday being a single elimination tournament that will be seeded from Saturday's pool play results.

Saturday's game times (2 pools per time slots) will be 9, 10 and Noon for Pools A & B. Pools C & D will play at 11, 1 and 3 with pools E & F playing at 2, 4 and 5.
As each teams enters (a paid in full is the only accepted entry) they will be allowed to pick which time slots that they would like play on Saturday. Once eight teams have chosen the same time slot, that time slot will be closed and those eight teams will be divided into two pools trying to separate teams that play in the same leagues (if possible -if three teams from the same league all want the same time slots two would have to be put into the same pool).

On Sunday all four teams from the same pool will be seeded according to how they finished on Saturday into four different quarter bracket of the championship tournament.

Payouts: Saturday every game is worth $25.00 to the winner with a $100 bonus to the pool winner. ($1500.00 will be earned on Saturday by the teams).

On Sunday the first eight games will be worth $40 to the winner. The next eight games will be worth $50 to the winner. The next six games will be worth $100 to the winner. And the final game will be worth $200 to the winner. Sunday's payout will be $1520.00.
The above dollar payouts ($3020.00) are based on twenty four teams entered.

Entry fee for this four game guarantee tournament will be 275.00 (Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit Card are accepted). A internet link to the Naperville Park District's web site information about this tournament will be up and running by February 21st.

***Note: The payouts will be made by check from the Naperville Park District. In
accordance with how this government agency operates it will take approximately
three weeks from the completion of the tournament until the check is received by the
manager of a team via the US mail.

Tournament Rules: ASA with the following house rules

1) 1 & 1 Count - no extra/courtesy foul ball
2) 20 runs after 4 innings
3) 10 run rule after 5 or 6 innings
4) no infield ball after the 1st inning
5) 2 warm-up pitches (maximum) between innings
6) return ball to pitch after out (no throwing it around)

Tie Breaker Rules:

1) head to head
2) run differential (maximum plus or minus 10 runs per game)
3) least amount of runs given up (total)
4) most runs scored (total)
5) coin toss

*** Note in the event of a three way tie once the tie is broken the two remaining teams
will than will revert back to tie break rule # 1 (above) and work it's was down until
that tie is broken.
