5th Annual North Vs South Challenge

Miller Forty-fives Champions


On Saturday afternoon Maxim and Entourage met in the second round with Maxim advancing after post an 8-2 victory onto the bracket board. Entourage had won their opening round contest over Tilt 5-2 on Thursday evening to advance into this second round match-up with maxim.
Later on Saturday afternoon Maxim and Boom tangled with maxim coming out on top by a final score of 9-5 as Maxim punched their ticked to the semifinal round to be played on Sunday afternoon. Boom made it to the third round in the winner's bracket by opening play against Thunder on Friday evening and posting 15-6 win onto the bracket board. Earlier on Saturday afternoon Boom had met and defeated the Long Shots 13-3 to earn the right to oppose Maxim in the third round of this tournament.
On Sunday afternoon Maxim start their day out by stubbing their toe against the Miller Forty-fives losing 9-3 to drop them into the loser's bracket.
Maxim rebounded as team and went right back to work as they eliminated Universal Iron by a score of 18-10 to move forward in the loser's bracket. Next up was a date with the Grasshoppers and maxim put on their hitting shoes scoring twenty runs in this game as the won 20-9to put them into the loser's bracket championship game where they met and defeated Mudville by a final score of 7-6 to earn them the right to challenge the Miller Forty-fives in the championship game.
This was as close as Maxim would get on this Sunday as they went down in defeat to the Miller Forty-fives by a final score of 7-3 and with that loss the maxim ball club was forced to accept the second place prize package from this tournament.
