Tournament Runner-up Aurora Turners From Aurora

Sixty-four teams started this double elimination tournament and now only two remained unbeaten as Leisure Time and J & J met to decide which of them would become the only unbeaten team left in this tournament. In the battle of unbeaten teams it was Leisure Time getting the better of it winning 13-7 to put them into the tournament's championship game against whichever team that would emerge from the loser's bracket to challenge them in the championship game. J & J made it to the undefeated game of the winner's bracket by opening play on Friday evening with a 8-4 win over Collins Street Auto / Third Base from Joliet in the first round of play. Later on Friday evening it was J & J over the Big Hitters 14-1 to put J & J into Saturday evenings third round of the winner's bracket. On Saturday evening it was J & J over Playoffs Sports Bar & Grill by a final score of 7-3. On Sunday morning J & J took on and defeated United Restoration 13-3 to advance into a semifinal game of the winner's bracket where J & J met and defeated Stateline Motors 13-2 earning J & J a spot in the winner's bracket undefeated game against Leisure Time.
After all play in the loser's bracket had been completed Leisure Time and Aurora Turners were the last two teams still standing as they prepared to play for the 2007 Illinois USSSA Men's Class E Northern State title. Leisure Time found a way to win this game and with that victory took home with them to Sterling the 2007 Illinois USSSA Men's Class E State championship after they beat Aurora Turners 4-2 in the title game to complete their undefeated run to this state championship.
Tournament runner up Aurora Turners made it to the 2007 Illinois USSSA Men's Class E State Championship game by opening play on Friday evening with a first round win over Gunther's / Mavericks from Joliet 21-6. Later on Friday evening it was the Aurora Turners defeating Benchmob from Crete who had previously defeated Seek + Destroy from Joliet 12-2 in the first round earlier on Friday evening.
On Saturday late in the afternoon the Aurora Turners ball club met up with Sharp Softball from Romeoville and posted an impressive 15-4 win onto the bracket board to advance into Sunday as one of only eight remaining unbeaten teams left in this state tournament. Sharp Softball had won two games on Friday evening to get to this game against Aurora Turners as they first stopped Action Bio Care, Inc. from Montgomery 10-2 before stopping High Voltage from Plainfield 16-3 in the second round later on Friday evening to advance into this third round contest against Aurora Turners.
On Sunday morning it was Aurora Turners and Dynasty hooking up with Dynasty posting a win onto the bracket board over Aurora Turners by a final score of 7-7 to drop the Aurora based ball club into the loser's bracket. Dynasty made it to this game by opening play on Saturday morning with a 9-6 win over No Showz from Peoria in the first round before stopping Northern Illinois Optical / Ken Z Roofing from Rockford in a one run game 3-2 on Saturday afternoon and than they complete their Saturday with a 8-4 win over Ogle County Physical Therapy from Byron to advance into the Sunday morning game against Aurora Turners.
On Sunday afternoon the Aurora Turners ball club met Westchester Buzz in the loser's bracket as they righted their ship winning 15-5 to advance in the bracket. Infinity Softball / Taco Johns was next up on the Aurora Turners victim list as they sent the Machesney Park area squad to the parking to after beating them 5-2. Stateline Motors was excused from this tournament next by Aurora Turners 5-2 as the Aurora based team continued their march towards the championship game.
