26th Annual Spring 'Tune-Up' Tournament On April 24th

NAPERVILLE: The '6th Annual Naperville Spring Tune-up' twelve inch division was won by King's Court Builders Black & Blue with a perfect 3-0 record over a field of fourteen teams which was played at Frontier Park in Naperville on April 24th. The champions stopped runner-up BWW / Tee Excavating12-5 in the title game. The Varsity won the consolation bracket with a 14-9win over the Diamond Cutters in the final game.
King's Court / Black & Blue opened play with a 12-0 win over Diezel in their opening game of this tournament.
After receiving a bye in the second round the champions to be played their second game against The Lantern with Kings Court Black & Blue posting a 14-3 win up onto the bracket board. The Lantern reached this game by opening tournament play with an 11-10 win over Residential Mtg. Spec. in the first round of play before they defeated Platinum Players 16-7 in the second round of action.
The championship game belong to King's Court Black & Blue as they left little doubt as to who the better team was this day winning convincingly over BWW / Tee Excavating 12-5 in the championship game.
BWW / Tee Excavating made it to the title game by opening play with a 24-7 win over Pride Nutrition in the first round of tournament action.
BWW / Tee Excavating won their second game when they defeated the Free Agents 17-5 to continue their climb towards the championship game. The Free Agents had advanced past the first round by defeating the Diamond Cutters 25-24 to open tournament play for them.
In the championship bracket's semi final game BWW / Tee Excavating squared off with Piket Team Realtors and pulled off another one run victory sipping past them 23-22 to move into the tournament's championship game. Piket Team Realtors reach the semi finals of this tournament by opening with a win over Brew Crew (no score was reported) in the first round of play. In their second game they met and defeated the White Tavern Titans 7-6 to move into the semifinal of this tournament.
The championship game went to King's Court Builders Black & Blue as BWW / Tee Excavating was forced to accept second place from this tournament.
The Varsity won the consolation bracket by losing their opener to Platinum Player (no score was reported). In the consolation bracket the varsity won their next game by defeating Shamrock Mortgage 20-13. Residential Mfg. Spec dropped a one run heart-breaker to the Varsity 12-11 putting the Varsity into the consolation title game where they met and defeated the Diamonds Cutters 14-9 to win the consolation championship.
The Diamonds Cutters advance into the consolation championship game by losing their tournament opener to the Free Agents 25-24. The Diamond Cuter receive a first round bye in the consolation bracket before defeating Pride Nutrition 27-25 in the semifinals of the consolation bracket to advance into the consolation championship game.
