Quad Cities Win SSWC & ISA 55 & Over In Pekin

Indy Ledgends Win The AAA Division At The Dragon Dome

PEKIN: The SSWC and ISA Men's Senior Softball 55 & Over World Tournament Qualifier was held at the new Dragon Dome softball Complex in Pekin on May 21st & 22nd with Quad City winning the AA Division title and Indy Ledgends winning the AAA Division title. The SSWC World Tournament will be held in Phoenix, AZ on October 20-23 with the ISA Men's 55 & Over World Tournament being held at Polk County, FL on September 16-18.
The Quad City ball club opened play in the five team round robin format on Saturday with a 15-14 win over Kentucky Fried Chicken in their opening contest. Game number two was an impressive 30-12 win over the Indy Ledgends. The Quad City ball club completed their sweep of the round robin portion of the tournament by defeating CC Blue 28-11 in their final game on Saturday.
On Sunday Quad City and Kentucky Fried Chicken squared off in the best of three match up for the Masters 5 & Over AA Title with Quad City winning two straight close games by the final score of 22-21 and 14-12 to claim their title.

In the AAA Division the Indy Ledgends went home with the title. In Saturday's round robin portion of the tournament the Indy Ledgends opened play with a 24-20 win over Kentucky Fried Chicken their first game. Game number two was a 21-15 loss to the CC Blue for the Indy Ledgends. Saturday's third and final game was another loss as Quad City upending them 30-12.
ON Sunday's best of three playoffs for the AAA Division title it was the Indy Ledgends defeating CC Blue twice 22-21 in the first game and 14-12 in the second game to win the AAA Title.
