ISA Convention
News
ISA will follow the three point bat testing standard.
This eliminates the Miken Ultra II
from being used in ISA league and tournament play.
Regional Championships were discussed and will be put is place in
the 2005 season.
Teams that play ISA and play other associations will have to play
at the highest level.
Example: If a team plays 'D' ASA and plays 'C' NSA then their highest
level is 'C'. They
would have to play 'C' in ISA. Although the state director has the
final say as to the
classification of teams in his/her state.
TK Wendl's in Urbana was awarded a Easton Challenge NIT. This NIT
will be held July
10-11. Easton Bats (Cenergy), Bat Bags, T-shirts, and more will
be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
Bruce Meade of Bradenton, FL and NC Ryals of Gainesville, FL were
inducted into the
ISA National Hall of Fame. Dave Stephen of Flat Rock, MI and Hank
Heffner of
Cordelia, GA will be inducted into the National Hall of Fame at
the National Convention
in 2004.
Jerry Jackson, ISA Illinois State Director was appointed to serve
as the Central Region
Vice President. The states under Mr. Jackson will be Missouri, Illinois,
Arkansas,
Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S. Dakota, and North
Dakota.

Men's 'A" -Winter Haven, FL, Aug. 7-8
Men's 'B' - Auburn, Al - Aug. 27-28
Men's 'C' - Panama City Beach, FL - Aug. 27-29
Men's 'D' - Nashville, TN - Aug. 27-29
Men's 'E' Savannah, GA - Sept. 3-5
Masters 40+ - FT. Myers, Fl - TBA
Masters 35+ - Gainesville, GA - Aug. 20-22
Men's Seniors - Altamonte Springs, FL - July 4-6
