In Your Face Champions At ISA Class E

Seven Teams Participated At The Brickhouse Complex On 4/21 & 22

BARTONVILLE: In Your Face (4-0) ran the table on a field of seven teams to win the ISA Men's Class E State & National Qualifying tournament held at Alpha Park in Bartonville on April 21st & 22nd. The champions earn a paid berth to play at the 2007 ISA Men's Class E National Tournament to be held August 25th & 26th at the Brickhouse Complex in Urbana, plus they earned a berth to play at he 2007 Illinois ISA Men's Class E State Tournament that will also be held at the Brickhouse Complex in Urbana on July 21st & 22nd. Tournament runner-up TNT (4-2) earned a paid state berth for their efforts in this tournament. Third place went to Dailey Law (1-2) with Earps (2-2) taking home fourth place from this event.
Champions In Your Face opened play with a first round game against TNT and posted an 11-2 win up on to the bracket board to advance into the second round of play in the winner's bracket. In Your Face next faced off with Earps and they improved to 2-0 with a win that was decided by their overall team defense as they slip past Earps 4-2 sending them to Sunday mornings winner's bracket championship game.
On Sunday morning In Your Face continued their winning ways as they dispatched Dailey Law into the loser's bracket by a final score of 10-2 to become the only unbeaten team left in this tournament. Now In Your Face had to sit and wait until the loser's bracket had been played out to its conclusion before knowing which of the remaining teams they would be playing in the title game. When that last out had been written down into the official's scorers book a rematch with first round opponent TNT await unbeaten In Your face in the championship game.
IN Your Face came out on a mission and took control of the game scoring early and scoring often as they won in land slide 14-0 to claim the berth to play at the 2007 ISA Men's Class E National Tournament.
Tournament runner-up TNT took the long way around to the championship game but they got there just the same as they dropped their very first contest of this tournament to the eventual champions In Your Face 11-2 forcing them to play the rest of this tournament in the loser's bracket with their backs against the wall.
TNT regrouped quickly and went about their business as they started to dismiss teams from this tournament starting with 1st Community Title by a final score of 6-2. Next to exit this tournament at the hands of TNT was Off In The Woods who were sent to the parking lot to pack the car for the trip back home after dropping a 24-14 decision to TNT.
Now playing on Sunday Earps was excused next as TNT continued to roll along winning 5-2 to bring them into the loser's championship game. TNT kept their eyes on the goal before them as they sent Dailey Law home with third place after beating them 12-8. This win earned TNT a second chance at playing unbeaten In Your Face but this was as close as they would get on this Sunday. In Your Face dominated the game from start to finish winning 14-0 over TNT to send the TNT squad home with the second place prize package from this event.
