ARLINGTON HEIGHTS: Hooded Frogs/Bridgeview Sports Dome from Bridgeview ran the table on the field of four teams in the NSA Men's Class B/C World Tournament Qualifier played at Melas Field in Arlington Heights on April 23rd with a perfect 3-0 record. The Rope Club (1-2) finished in a three way tie for second place with Chi-Town (1-2) and Bucks Pit Stop/Thornwood Tap (1-2) with Rope Club winning the tiebreaker to claim the NSA Class C World Tournament berth from this tournament.
The Hooded Frogs/Bridgeview Sports Dome opened play with a 21-10 win over the Rope Club in five innings in their first game of this round robin formatted tournament. In game number two the Hooded Frogs/Bridgeview Sports Dome met and defeated Bucks Pit Stop/Thornwood Tap 25-14 in four innings on the strength of a fifteen run first inning to put the game away early to move to 2-0.
In their third and final game the Hooded Frogs/Bridgeview Sports Dome met Chi-Town and they need to win to claim the World Tournament berth because a loss to Chi-Town would have given the tournament title to Chi-Town. The Hooded Frogs/Bridgeview Sports Dome rose to the occasion and posted an 18-16 win up onto the bracket board to complete their sweep of the field of teams as they took home their 2005 NSA Men's Class B World Tournament Berth from this tournament.
