Hogans Roofing Wins Cash - Continued

Slaughter was Hogan's Roofing first opponent in the losers bracket and they were sent packing.
Pla Ball was next as Hogan's Roofing improved their record to 4 wins and 1 loss.
Revenge was sweet as the Shockers left in third place and pointed their cars north on I-90.
Two wins over Big Brown Star did the trick for the Crystal Lake squad as they claimed the first prize money and the title of the fall $5000 cash event from Arlington Heights.
Runner up Big Brown Star also opened with a first round bye before posting a 27-12 win over Glaciers as Bill Sahagian led the way going 5-5 with a HR plus Jim Cushing & Ron Jagers both contributing 4-5 efforts at the plate during this win.
Game number two was a 22-14 win over Thunder as both Done Vleck and Dean Berres went 3-4 at the dish with Ed Stapinski adding a HR and some outstanding defensive plays in this victory.
Big Brown Star improved to 3-0 when they stopped McGaffer's Pub 23-9 behind some strong defense from Lincoln Adams (3-3) and Nick Latorre (3-4) who played the middle all tournament.
Big Brown Star won the winners bracket 18-9 over the Shockers as Jeff Sahagian and Dave Shaff each stroked three hits apiece and Jaggers made play after play in the field from his second base position.
The long wait before the championship game showed as Big Brown Star came out flat and fell to Hogan's Roofing 14-11. This loss set up the need for the extra game to be played so a champion could be crowned.
Hogan's Roofing was that champion as they defeated Big Brown Star xx-xx in spite of Jerry Pietryk 2-3 effort from the plate.
The top hitter for Big Brown Star in this tournament was: Bill Sahagian .696, Lincoln Adams .632, Jeff Sahagian .610 and Ed Stapinski .609.
