Hatalla Flooring Champions Of ASA Class D State

Brickstone anted to make a statement to both their opponent Hatalla Flooring and to everyone watching that they were for real and they did just that by beating Hatalla Flooring 10-3 to even the tournament and force the need to have the 'if necessary game played between these two ball clubs with the state title on the line and going to the winner.
And the winner is Hatalla Flooring as they rebounded to win the 'if necessary game' over Brickstone by a final score of 11-8 giving Hatalla Flooring the 2007 ASAQ Men's Class D Illinois State title.
Brickstone made it to the 2007 Illinois ASA Men's Class D State championship game by opening play with an impressive first round win over Don's No Man's Land 21-2 on Friday night.
On Saturday Brickstone and the Slumpbusters played with Brickstone winning 15-0 to advance into the third round of play in the winner's bracket. The Slumpbusters had defeated the Newton Travelers 11-2 on Friday evening to advance into this second round contest against Brickstone.
ON Saturday afternoon Brickstone and Dave's Pizza collided in the third round of play in the winner's bracket with Brickstone winning 10-7 advancing them into Saturday evenings fourth round in the winner's bracket at the 2007 Illinois ASA Men's Class D State Championship Tournament. Dave's Pizza made it to this third round game with Brickstone by opening play on Friday evening with a first round win over Motorboaters 14-10. On Saturday Dave's Pizza sent Johnny's Bar & Grill to the loser's bracket by a final score of 13-1 advancing Dave's Pizza into the third round of the winner's bracket and a date with Brickstone.
On Saturday night Brickstone and Davis Insurance met in a fourth round game of the winner's bracket with Brickstone posting a victory onto the bracket board by a final score of 14-2 sending Brickstone into Sunday morning semifinal round of the winner's bracket. Davis Insurance made it to this fourth round contest by opening play on Friday evening with 14-6 victory over Gem City Pizza. On Saturday morning Davis Insurance met and defeated Basehit Softball 7-6. ON Saturday afternoon Davis Insurance and Line - X met with Davis Insurance posting the win on to the bracket board by a final score of 7-5 to earn them a date with Brickstone on Saturday evening.
On Sunday morning Brickstone started their day off on the right foot as they met and defeated K & K Metal Works 6-5 to earn them a place in the winner's bracket undefeated game on Sunday afternoon. K & K Metal Works had posted four wins to get to this semifinal contest and the opportunity to play Brickstone by opening on Friday night with a 24-4 win over Rehab Edge. On Saturday K & K Metal Works won three games with the first one coming on Saturday morning over Burton Drywall by a final score of 7-6 Playing next on Saturday afternoon K & K Metal Works defeated the Swinging Dixxx 10-8 before stopping California Shine 16-9 to earn them a spot to play Brickstone on Sunday morning in a semifinal game of the winner's bracket of teh2007 Illinois ASA Men's Class D State tournament.
Now only two team remained in the winner's bracket as Brickstone prepared to take the field to play Hatalla Flooring late on Sunday morning. Brickstone came out on the short end of a 13-9 score to drop them into the loser's bracket where they needed to play and defeat K & K Metal Works for a second time to earn a second shot at playing the only unbeaten team left in this tournament Hatalla Flooring. Brickstone did just that sending K & K Metal Works back home with third place after beating them in a close game 5-4. This win also gave Brickstone a second chance at Hatalla Flooring and they took full advantage of this by evening the tournament at one loss each after beating Hatalla Flooring 10-3. This will always made the need to play the 'if necessary game' between these two clubs with the state title going to the winner.
The 2007 Illinois ASA Men's Class D State champions is Hatalla Flooring as they bounce back to defeat Brickstone 11-8 in the deciding game of this years state tournament.
