Full Tilt Softball Wins Worth/USSSA Class C NIT

Nineteen Teams Participate at Inwood Complex In Joliet On June 3 & 4

Full Tilt Softball from Blolingbrook Champions of Worth/USSSA Class C NIT

JOLIET: Full Tilt Softball from Joliet won the nineteen teams, Worth/USSSA Men's Class C N.I.T. played at the Inwood Sports Complex in Joliet on June 3rd & 4th with a perfect 5-0 record to earn the berth to play at the 2006 USSSA Men's Class C World tournament to be held in September at Sterling Heights, MI. Primetime Softball (4-2) from Joliet finished in second place with Sydnis Allstars from Homewood was the highest finishing Class D team with a 6-2 record was third earning them the berth to play at the USSSA Men's Class D World Tournament at Overland Kansas on September 22 - 24. Taking home fourth place was Big T Softball (4-3) from Union Grove, WI with both the Dirtbags (2-2) from Aurora and Players, Inc (2-2) from Chicago tying for fifth place at this event.
Primetime opened tournament play with an 11-1 win over Maxwell Consulting / Neighbors Bar & Grill from Rockford in the first round of tournament action. Maxwell Consulting & Neighbors Bar had won a pigtail game over Yep! 18-17 to advance into their first round game against Full Tilt Softball.
Game number two was against Maryville Moose from Maryville, Ohio with Full Tilt Softball registering another one side victory winning 13-3 to move into Sunday morning semifinal round of the winner's bracket.
On Sunday morning it was Full Tilt Softball continuing to hit and score runs as they out scored the Dirtbags 18-12 to advance into the winner's bracket championship game.
In the game between the tournaments last two unbeaten teams it was Full Tilt Softball edging out Primetime Softball 6-5 to become the only unbeaten teal left standing in this tournament.
Now Full Tilt Softball was able to sit back and watch as the loser's bracket was played out to its conclusion and when it was a rematch with Primetime Softball awaited Full Tilt Softball in the championship game.
Full Tilt Softball complete its undefeated run to the Worth/USSSA Class C NIT title by beating Primetime for the second time by a final score of 19-11
Primetime Softball made it to the championship game by opening play with a first round win over Sydnis Allstars 18-12. Sydnis Allstars had to win a pigtail game over Paul Davis Restoration from Rockford 20-5 to advance into the bracket.
Game number two was also win number two for Primetime as they defeated Top Notch from Crystal Lake 18-3 to advance into Sunday's semifinal round of the winner's bracket.
On Sunday morning it was Primetime and Players, Inc squaring off with one another in a back and forth close ball game that saw Primetime coming out on top by a single run 13-12 to put the Joliet based ball club into the undefeated game against Full Tilt Softball.
Primetime stub their toe in the winner's bracket finals falling to Full Tilt Softball by a single run 6-5 to drop them into the loser's bracket finals where they need to defeat Sydnis Allstars for a second time to earn another shot at Full Tilt Softball and the tournament title. Primetime was up to the task at hand as they sent Sydnis Allstars home in third place after beating them 17-9 to earn a second shot at Full Tilt Softball and the NIT title. This was not to be as Full Tilt Softball completed their undefeated run to the NIT title by handing Primetime a 19-11 loss to claim the title and send Primetime home with second place honors from this event.
