My calendar says it's
February which means major league baseball will be opening their
spring train camps to get ready for the upcoming season. To me the
opening of the spring training camps is a signal that winter is
starting to wind down and ball season for us back home in Illinois
can not be far off. How do I know this? The days are getting longer
and the average temperature is slowly creeping up. But the biggest
of all signs is that next summer tournament dates are pouring in.
As of this writing more than eleven hundred and fifty tournaments
are listed on the Illinois Softball Report's scheduled of tournaments
to be played in Illinois during the upcoming 2007 softball season.
So now it is almost time to let to games begin!
The Illinois ASA will be hosting its annual Hall of Fame induction
banquet the last weekend in March (March 31st, 2007) at the Dragon's
Dome in Pekin. For tickets or more information and all of the details
please e-mail ASA State Commissioner Don Brewer at dbrewer@roe30.k12.il.us
with you questions and ticket purchases.
Illinois Softball Report like many other softball related business
relies on your support to survive. I.S.R. works off of advertisements
sold to business and individuals that appear on this web site. If
your business relates to softball I.S.R. is an inexpensive way to
put your business name in front of the Illinois based softball players.
If you have a product that you want in front of the softball players
of the state of Illinois this web site is an outstanding way to
but your product squarely in the view of those you are trying to
reach out to for sales.
Illinois Softball Report hits for the month of January 2007 fell
a little short in total hits during January of the previous year.
The numbers are down less than one thousand hits so hopefully a
good February will get Illinois Softball Report back on setting
a new record for that individual month for total hits to this site
in each and every month as they go by.
