Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Centers Wins USSSA Class E

Seven Teams Play At Aurora Turners Club On June 11th & 12th

AURORA: Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center from Morris won the USSSA Men's Class E National Qualifier played at the Turner Club Field in Aurora on June 11th & 12thwith a perfect 3-0 record over a field of seven teams. M & S Xpress (3-2) from Plano finished in second place, Borowiak Insurance (2-2) from Aurora took home third place with Who's Drivn' (1-2) from Romeoville finishing in fourth place. Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center earned a berth to play at the USSSA Men's Class E Great Lakes National tournament to be held at Waterloo, Iowa on September 3rd through 6th.
Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center received a first round bye in this seven team event before taking on Borowiak Insurance from Aurora in the second round and posting a narrow 10-9 win up onto the bracket board. Borowiak Insurance had advance to this game by defeating Fabri-Tec 7-0 when they failed to field a team at game time in the first round of tournament play.
In the winner's bracket championship game Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center squared off with M & S Xpress and found a way to win another one run ball game by the final score of 4-3. This win assured Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center of a spot in the tournament's championship game against whichever team would emerge from the loser's bracket to challenge them in the finals.
That team turned out to be M & S Xpress and a rematch of the tournament's winner bracket championship game. This time instead of playing another one run ball game Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center made it clear who the champion would be as they won impressively over M & S Xpress 13-4 to win the title undefeated.
M & S Xpress made it to the title game by opening play against the Aurora Police ball club and posting a 16-6 win onto the bracket board in the first round of tournament play.
M & S Xpress improved their tournament record to 2-0 when they defeated Who's Drivn' 11-7 in the second round of tournament play. Who's Drivin' had won their first round game 17-6 over Tiger Club I to advance into this second round game.
In the game between the tournament's last two unbeaten teams M & S Xpress was edged out by a single run by Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center 7-6 sending the Plano ball club into the loser's bracket where they needed to win one game to get back to the finals against Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center.
M & S Xpress stopped Borowiak Insurance 7-3 to earn their second chance at Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center and the tournament title. The championship game was unkind to the M & S Xpress ball club as they were defeated by Ebbeys/Rezin Sports Medical Center 13-4 and with that loss had to settle for second place from his tournament.
