Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT Wins USSSA Class D

Seven Teams, One Day Event At Klatt Field In Plano On Aug. 6th

PLANO: Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT from Mendota traveled to Plano to participate in the seven team USSSA Men's Class D National qualifying tournament held at Klatt Field in Plano on August 6th and sent a perfect 4-0 to capture the title and the berth to play at Blaine, Minnesota over Labor Day Weekend that goes to the champion. Fox Valley Truck Accessories (4-2) from Aurora took home second place, with the Oswego Inn (2-2) finishing in third place and Jerry's Tap/Gilmore Farms (2-2) from Gilmore finished in fourth place at this tournament.
Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT opened tournament play by defeating Aurora Turner Club from Aurora 7-5 in the first round of Tournamtn action to advance into the second round of play.
Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT now tangled with Shamrock Mortgage in the second round and out an impressive 19-8 victory up onto the bracket board as they continued to advance. This win put Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT into the winner's bracket championship game. Shamrock Mortgage opened tournament play with a first round bye before playing Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT in the second round of action.
Now playing in the game between the last two remaining unbeaten teams it was Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT and the Oswego Inn going toe to toe with the winner being assured of a spot the tournament's championship game. Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT was up to the challenge at hand as they sent Oswego Inn into the loser's bracket after beating them 9-4 to claim the title to the winner's bracket.
Now Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT had to sit and wait as they loser's bracket need to be compete before they would know which of the remaining team would emerge as the loser's bracket champion and by doing so earning the right to oppose them in the finals.
When the dust settled back down onto the field of play after the last out in the loser's bracket had been recorded it was a match up of Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT verses Fox Valley Truck Accessories in the championship game. Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT came out focused on what they had to do to win this game and did just that as they posted an impressive 13-5 victory onto the bracket board to complete their sweep of the field of teams at the qualifier.

Once in the loser's bracket the Aurora based ball club got everything straightened out as they proceeded to start their march toward the championship game by defeating the Klubs 19-3 to even their tournament record at one win and one loss.
Next up was a game with Shamrock Mortgage and Fox Valley Truck Accessories posted their second win in a row by the finals core of 10-3
Next up for Fox Valley Truck Accessories was a game with Jerry's Tap/Gilmore Farms and the Aurora based ball club won for the third time in a row defeating their opponent from Gilmore 12-5 to move into the loser's bracket championship game.
Here Fox Valley Truck Accessories had a rematch with their first round opponent the Oswego Inn with the added incentive of revenging that first round loss tossed into the fray. Fox Valley Truck Accessories made sure that they would tae no prisoners in this game as they defeated the Oswego Inn by the run rule winning 15-3 to earn the right to play unbeaten Country Ranch/R-Vac/ADT in the tournament's championship game
It was here that Fox Valley Truck Accessories dream of coming all the back through the loser's bracket to win the tournament after dropping their opening game ended as the Mendota ball club handed Fox Valley Truck Accessories their second loss of the Tournamtn by a final score of 13-5 to force them to accept second place from this tournament.
