Four Teams, One Day Tournament, In Aurora, On July 23rd

Coors Light Champions Of USSSA Men's Class C Elite In Aurora

AURORA: Coors Light (4-1) from Dixon came back to double dip Primetime (2-2) from Joliet 15-10 and 13-3 to win the USSSA Men's Class C Elite tournament held at the Turner Club in Aurora on July 23rd. Champions Builders (1-2) from De Kalb was third and E.C. Pages/The Barn (0-2) from Yorkville was fourth at this tournament.
Coors Light opened play with a narrow 12-11 first round win over Champion Builders as the Dixon ball club advanced into the winner's bracket finals.
Primetime stopped Coors light 17-14 to send the Coors light ball cub into the loser's bracket where they had a rematch with Champions Builder with the winner earning the right to take on Primetime in the tournament's championship game. Coors Light won the rematch over Champions Builders 23-8 to move into the finals and another rematch game playing Primetime.
Coors Light took advantage of this opportunity to defeat Primetime 15-10 evening the tournament at one loss each and forcing the need to play the 'if necessary game' in order to determine which of these two ball clubs would be the champion of this tournament.
The Extra game was all Coors Light as they put away Primetime 13-3 to win this tournament.

Primetime made it to the championship game by winning the winners bracket as they opened play against E.C. Pages/The barn and promptly posted a 18-3 win onto the bracket board to advance into the winner's bracket championship game.

Primetime now had to wait while the loser's bracket finals was played out in order to determine which of the remaining team would be their opponent in the championship game. When the dust settled back down from this game it was a rematch with Coors Light that awaited Primetime in the finals.
Coors Light got the best of Primetime as they bested them twice 15-10 and 13-3 to send Primetime home with second place from this tournament.
