Aug. 1 & 2: The Dead Ringers hosted a sixteen inch Class B tournament in Lincolnwood with pool play (four pools) on Saturday with the four pools winners returning on Sunday to play for the title. Silver Bullets (4-0) and the gamecocks 3-1) made it to the title game and decide to split the top prizes with Those Guys (4-1) finishing in third place with Circle Jerks (302) taking home fourth place from the sixteen team event.

Aug. 1: Team BP won the 2009 Illinois USSSA Women's Class C / D Elite State Tournament held at Forest Hills Diamonds in Rockford with a perfect 3-0 record. Settimi-Fetters Roofing (2-2) took home second place with PM Pub / Pitch's (3-2) going home with third place and PCC Power (2-2) taking fourth place.

7/31 & 8/2 The 2009 ASA Men’s Class B State Tournament was held at Rotary Park in Decatur with Heritage Builders (4-0) winning the state title, Quinn’s (3-2 took home second place with Anna Moose (3-2) finishing in third place. Fourth place went to Pub II (2-2) and a fifth place tie went to Waytown Tavern (1-2) and PAS / Space Warehouse (1-2) . Outfielder Jeff Miglen of Heritage Builders was named the 2009 MVP of the Illinois ASA Men’s Class B State Tournament.

Aug. 1 & 2: Squad (5-0) ran the table on the field of fourteen teams to win the USSSA Men's Class D National Qualifier held at Inwood Sports Complex, in Joliet. Aug. 1: Roaddawgs (4-1) took home the title at the USSSA Men's Class D pre-state tournament held at Sportscore Complex in Rockford with Hell Yeah! (4-2) finishing in second place, Neighbors Bar & Grill (3-2) took home third place with Triple Play / LT's Bar & Grill (2-2) finishing in fourth place at this nine team event.

Aug. 1 & 2: SWAT ran the table going 5-0 to win the twenty-one team USSSA Men's Class E National Qualifier held at Forest Hills Diamonds in Rockford. .08 Softball (4-2) took home second place with Guerilla Graffiti (4-2) finishing in third place and Gizmo's Sports Cards (5-2) taking home fourth place. Aug. 1: Bada Bing / Marquette Bank went a perfect 4-0 to win the thirteen team USSSA Men's Class E National Qualifier held at the Inwood Sports Complex in Joliet. 8/8 & 9 The USSSA Women’s Class D/E State Tournament was held at the Forest Hills Diamonds complex in Rockford and was won by Double Vision (6-1) with Pia’s Sixty-Forty (3-2) taking home second place. Third place went to True Value (2-2) fourth place went to Dan’s Automotive (3-2) and both Coors Light / Double D’s (2-2) and Orrs Westgate (1-2) finishing in a tie for fifth place.

8/8 The 2009 USSSA Men’s Open State Tournament was Played at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake with sixteen teams participating as Fury Softball went a perfect 5-0 to win the championship as Creative Design (4-2) took home second place with AM Lumber Company (5-2) finishing in third place. Fourth place went to Team Lockdown / D’Arcy Motors / Ken’s Beverage, Inc with a 3-2) record as both EWS / Boombah / Sport PT / DLB (3-2) and Pope Transport / Shockers (2-2) finished in a tie for fifth place.

8/9 The 2009 USSSA Men’s Class B State Tournament was held at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake on August 9th with EWS / Boombah / Sport PT / DLB wining the title with a 5-1 record over tournament runner-up Commission (4-2). Third place went to Pope Transport / Shockers (5-2), fourth place going to Paul Davis Restoration (3-2) and a birthplace tie going to both Triple Crown (3-2) and Precision (2-2).

8/8 The 2009 ISA Men’s Class E State was held at Po’Boys Complex in Urbana with the Liquor Box running the table on the field of sixteen teams going a perfect 5-0 to win the title. Peotone Bowl (4-2) took home second place with Kelly Glass (4-2) finishing in third place. Fourth place went to the Swingers (3-2) and a tie for fifth place by Hammers / Gorgon (3-2) and BG Karaoke (3-2) the 2009 ISA Menst Class E State Tournament’s MVP award went to Mike Hornung of the Liquor Box with the 2009 Best Defensive Player award going to Cris Sifirt of Peotone Bowl.

8/8 & 9 USSSA Men’s Class E National Qualifier was played at the Turner Club in Aurora with Wasted Talent holding service going a perfect 4-0 to claim the top prize. Playoffs Sports Bar & Grill (4-2) took home second place as Sandlot Softball (2-2) finished in third place and Grumpy Grimace (2-2) finishing in fourth place. 'Photo’s in ‘Photo Album’

8/8 & 9 USSSA Men’s Class E National Qualifier was held at Klatt Field in Plano with eleven teams taking part. G-Force Labels & Printing took home the tile by going a perfect 4-0. Stoudt Plumbing (5-20 took home second place, Little Bro Joe’s Pizza (2-2) finished in third place and Break time (2-2) took home fourth place.
