Reloaded & St Louis Naturals Co Champions

I.S.A. All Night - One Pitch Tournament At The Dragons Dome In Pekin

Co-Champs St Louis Naturals (5-1) At ISA All Night One Pitch At The Dragons Dome In Pekin

PEKIN: Reloaded (4-0) from St. Louis, MO and the St Louis Naturals (5-1) from St Peters, MO agreed to split the top two cash prizes ($950.00) at the sixteen team, ISA Men's 'One-Pitch' Indoor Tournament held at the Dragons Dome in Pekin on January 7th & 8th. County Jail ((3-2) from Warrenton, MO finished in third place with HRC (3-2) from Bartonville taking home fourth place and both DMB (4-2) from Olgtin, IA and Players (4-2) finished in a tie for fifth place.
Unbeaten Reloaded opened play in this 'All-Night' event by taking on and defeating Shockers/Easton from Milwaukee, WI 17-4 in the first round of tournament play.
In their second contest Reloaded met and defeated Softballfans.com from Champaign 15-5 to move into an early Sunday morning semifinal game. Softballfans.com had advanced into this contest with Reloaded by defeating Players 23-21 in the first round of tournament action.
The semifinal game between Reloaded and HRC was set to start at 4:45 Am on Sunday morning in this all night format. Reloaded was on top of their game as they handed HRC a loss by the final score of 17-7 to move into the winners bracket finals.
HRC made it into this semifinal game by opening play with a win over Bail Busters 18-16 in the first round of tournament action. In the second round of tournament play it was HRC stopping Slick Rick's from Bloomington 15-7 to earn their spot in the semifinals against Reloaded.
In the battle between the last two remaining unbeaten teams it was Reloaded and County Jail squaring off with one another at 9:30 AM on Sunday morning. In a exciting game that was not over until that last out had been recorded into the official scores book Reloaded managed to slip past County Jail 19-18 to assure them of a spot in the championship game against whichever team that would emerge from the loser's bracket to challenge them for the tournament title.
County Jail made it to the winner's bracket championship game by opening play with a 17-4 win over Z-Force in the first round of play. In their second contest County Jail posted their second win onto the bracket board as they stopped Web Gemz 21-6 to move into a semifinal game of the winner's bracket. With a start time of 5:30 Am on Sunday morning it was the county Jail pounding out an impressive 205 win over the St Louis Naturals to advance them into the winner's bracket finals.
The St. Louis Naturals made it to the tournament's championship game by opening play with a first round win over WHJS/Wizards from Champaign by the final score of 19-3.
Game number two for the St. Louis Naturals was also win number two as they sent Big Ox to the loser's bracket after beating them by a final score of 28-5.
In the early morning hours of Sunday the St. Louis Naturals and County Jail locked horns with one anther in a 5:30 Am game of this 'All Night' tournament with the St Louis Naturals coming out on the short end of a 20-5 final score to drop them into the loser's bracket.
The St Louis Naturals rebounded to whip DMB 18-3 to advance in the loser's bracket.
Next was a game with HRC and again the St Louis Naturals came out hitting the ball as they posted a 23-13 win onto the bracket board to advance into the loser's bracket finals and a rematch with County Jail , the team that had sent them into the loser's bracket earlier that morning.
In an exciting back and forth game that was not decided until the last batter had complete his at bat the St Louis Naturals took some revenge on County Jail by edging them 23-22 to send them home with third place as they advance into the championship game.
The Reloaded ball club and the St Louis Naturals ball club decided to forgo the championship game and split the prize money between them.
