ROCKFORD: The fourteenth
Annual USSSA Hall of Fame induction Banquet was held on Saturday
November 8, 2009 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center
in Rockford with more than 240 people in attendance to honor
the seven individuals and two teams being inducted this evening.
The Illinois USSSA 2008 Hall
of Fame inductees are Roy Ambrose from Naperville in the male
player category, Mike Kueker from Red Bud in the male player
category, Jeri Siegfred-Mueller from Evansville in the female
player category and Vicky Brown from Rockford in the female
player Category. Also being inducted this evening were Kathy
Phillips from Paris in the sponsor category, Myron Schroeder
from Downs in the Meritorious Service category and Chuck Fisher
from Louisville KY in the Honorary category. In addition to
these seven individuals two team were also being honored,
The Chicagoans womens Class A team from the 80s
& 90 plus Team Illinois / Fox Sports Center from
the Peoria area and the 1990 USSSA Boys Slow-pitch World Champions.
The evening festivities took
place after a served dinner with C0-Master of Ceremonies Chuck
Fisher from Louisville, Kentucky opening the evenings program
by saying, "Ladies and gentleman, the ultimate honor,
that can be bestowed, upon a player, coach, manager, director,
umpire, sponsor, or anyone involved in the game of softball
in the State of Illinois, is be nominated, elected, and inducted,
into the Illinois USSSA Hall of Fame. The first Illinois USSSA
Hall of Fame induction ceremony was conducted on March the
23rd 1996. And as of this date ninety-three individuals and
five teams have received this special honor."

Brown than introduced the 27 Hall of Farmers who
where attending this evenings program one at a time as the
audience showered them with cheers and applause.
