Paradise Motor Group 2007 ISA Men's Class D State Champs

Now Paradise Motor Group had to sit and wait until the loser's bracket had been played out before knowing which team would be in the opposite dugout from them in the championship game. When all play in the loser's bracket had been complete it was a rematch with City Blue / Harold's on tap for Paradise Motor Group in the championship game of the 2007 Illinois ISA Men's Class D State Tournament.
City Blue / Harold's want to make a statement and they did just that winning the first game 13-10 and with that win forced the need to have the 'if necessary game' played between these two ball club in order to crown one of them the Illinois ISA Men's Class D State Champions for the year 2007.
Paradise Motor Group would not be denied in the extra game as they found what they needed in order to win as they claim the 2007 ISA Men's Class D State Title over City Blue / Harold's by a final score of 15-10.
Tournament runner up City Blue / Harold's was led to the championship game by the play of their pitcher Ryan Samp who was named as the 'Best Defensive Player' at the 2007 ISA Men's Class D State Tournament. Joining Samp on the All-Tournament team were his City Blue / Harold's teammates: Rob Martin, Chris Dewitt, Johnny Sage, and Matt Ciccerelli.
City Blue / Harold's made it to the championship game of this state tournament by opening play with a first round 11/5 win over Corner Stone from Effingham on Saturday morning.
In their second contest of this tournament City Blue / Harold's and the Brew Dogs met up with one another as City Blue / Harold's won big posting an 12-1 victory onto the bracket board to advance into Saturday' evenings third round of the winner's bracket with a perfect 2-0 record. The Brew Dogs made it to this second round contest against City Blue / Harold's by defeating Remax from Urbana in the first round of play by a final score of 13-9.
On Saturday evening it was City Blue / Harold's and Shoeless Joe's going at each other in the third round of play in the winner's bracket of the 2007 Illinois ISA Men's Class D State Tournament and City Blue / Harold's won impressively posting a 15-5 win onto the bracket board to advance into Sunday morning's semifinal round of the winner's bracket. Shoeless Joe's made it to this third round contest by opening play with a first round 19-6 win over Yoder Construction from Springfield. In their second game Shoeless Joe's stopped the Hitmen from East Peoria 13-5 to advance into this third round contest against City Blue / Harold's.
On Sunday morning City Blue / Harold's and Pub II tangled on the field of play with City Blue / Harold's getting the better of it posting a 12-7 victory onto the bracket board to advance them into the winner's bracket undefeated game. Pub II made it to this semifinal game of the winner's bracket by opening play on Saturday with a first round slugfest edging out Squeeze from Arlington Heights 21-20. IN their second round contest Pub II met and defeated Precision from Lemont 15-11 before they stopped the Bombers cold 25-3 in the thirds round of play in the winner's bracket to advance them into this semifinal ball game with City Blue / Harold's.
Now only two teams of the thirty-five teams that entered this 2007 Illinois ISA Men's Class D State Tournament remained unbeaten and they would now take the field to play one another in what some people call the 'undefeated game'. City Blue / Harold's and Paradise Motor Group played fro the title to the winner's bracket with City Blue / Harold's coming out on the short end of a 26-16 score dropping them into the loser's bracket where they needed to now win three straight game to claim the state title.
City Blue / Harold's went to work on doing just that as they first eliminated Yep! 13-11 to earn a second chance at playing unbeaten Paradise Motor Group in the championship game. City Blue / Harold's kept moving forward towards their team goal as they evened this tournament at one loss each by beating Paradise Motor Group 13-10. City Blue / Harold's took some revenge with this win but most importantly this win made the state tournament come down to one game winner being the state champions.
City Blue / Harold's could not collect that last win need to win the state title as they lost to Paradise Motor Group 15-10 to finish in second place at the 2007 Illinois ISA Men's Class D State Tournament.
