Brew Dogs Champions of ISA Men's Class D NIT

Caps / Fury and Hell Yeah squared off against another in the second round and Caps / Fury came away with another impressive win by a final score of 130-3 sending the Lombard based ball club into the semifinal of the winner's bracket. Hell Yeah had defeated the Wizards 19-9 in the first round of tournament play to earn their spot in the second round against Caps / Fury.
In their third contest on Saturday Caps / Fury and Roger Dorn met up in a semifinal contest on this NIT with Caps / Fury heating up their sticks and scoring twenty-two runs to win 22-11 over Roger Dorn sending them into Sunday morning's winner's bracket undefeated game. Roger Dorn made it to this semifinal game of eth winner's bracket by posting wins over both SC Softball 19-9 in the first round of tournament action before stopping Demolition (no score was reported) in the second round of play.
On Sunday Caps /Fury tasted defeat as they lost the unbeaten game to the Brew Dogs 14-4 dropping them into the loser's bracket where they met and defeated TW / US Cellular 16-13 to earn a second chance at playing the unbeaten Brew Dogs in the finals of this NIT.
But this is were Caps / Fury dream of bouncing back to win the NIT and the World Berth that goes with it ended because the Brew Dogs had a dream of their own to complete. The Brew Dogs sent Caps / Fury home with the second place prize package after defeating them 16-10 in the deciding game of this NIT.
Third place finisher TW / US Cellular placed three individuals onto the 2008 ISA Men's Class D NIT All-Tournament team. They were: Jeff Sczuzpaj, Sal Marino and Jeff Thielson.
